Details Regarding the AIIMS Entrance Exam

The Exam – Anyone, who has qualified 10+2, with Physic, Biology, and Chemistry, and has completed 17 years of age in December, can attend the exam. AIIMS entrance is conducted online in 155 cities (approx.). You can opt for either English or Hindi medium question papers.  

 Subjects and Marks – The question paper will contain 200 multiple-choice questions carrying 01 marks each. That will include 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany + Zoology). 20 questions will be from General Knowledge. There is negative marking for wrong answers. -1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 

AIIMS Entrance Admission 

AIIMS has 9 branches across the country, i.e. in New Delhi, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. The fee for Indian citizens is around 6000 for 05 years. This includes hostel fee also. Although, the hostel depends on availability. You may note that the fee structure is tentative to change. 

There are 807 seats for MBBS in total from all the 09 branches of AIIMS. Out of which, 400 is available for general and the remaining reserved for different sections of society. The qualifying cut off mark for general is 50%. The same for OBC and SC/ST is 45% and 40% respectively. Nonetheless, you are required to score high to be selected.
