Many science students devote 2-4 years of their high school years to studying for engineering admission examinations, and they give it their all through rigorous studies, intensive coaching, and sleepless nights. 2. Admission to NITs

Even if you obtain low marks in JEE Advanced, you can get into an NIT. However, in order to gain admission to NITs, you must pass the JEE Main test with a legitimate score; without passing the JEE Main exam, you will be unable to gain admission to any NIT. The percentile obtained in JEE Mains is used to determine which B-Tech courses are available at NIT. A rank of less than 10,000 is required for admission to the top NITs in India. With a rank of above 50,000, however, it is possible to get into other NITs.

3. Think of non-engineering alternatives

Candidates who do not qualify for JEE Main and are considering abandoning their engineering plans may examine alternative choices. Other non-engineering possibilities include BBA, B.A., B.Sc., BMS, and other related degrees. 4. Choose an upcoming field

Think again if you believe B. Tech. is the sole science-related professional course. There are a variety of scientific and mathematics-related courses that you might enroll in BCA (Computer Applications), B.Arch. (Architecture), B.Sc. Aviation (with Commercial Pilot training), B.Sc. Nautical Science (Merchant Navy training), B.Des. in Industrial/Product Design, B.FTech. (Fashion Technology), and other courses that branch out from Science are all available. Furthermore, they provide professional skills to help you advance your career. You can preserve such possibilities as a backup plan in case your primary engineering strategy fails.

5. Choose universities other than IITs

If a candidate does not get the required rank to be eligible for JEE Advanced, he or she should not be concerned as you have other good options if you get low marks in JEE Mains. India has a large number of institutes and colleges. Most universities/ institutions have their own entrance test; nonetheless, JEE Main scores are accepted for engineering admission at these universities. A cut-off score is decided soon after the release of the JEE Main result. Candidates with a JEE Main score above the cut-off score have to fill the application form. 6. Lateral entry into B.Tech.
